I believe that we derive meaning in our lives from our relational context. Work, marriage, friendships and parenting are all rooted in relationships some way or another. Having said this, we are forced to function in isolation in our own minds. Understanding how and why we function the way we do provides a gateway for us to make a choice. We can choose to function as we always have, but with a better understanding of why, or if we feel that we need to, we can start to make changes. I believe that by understanding ourselves (past and present) and our relational patterns we can become well-balanced individuals with the base to reach our full potential.
